Heber Valley McKee family reunion '13

After 3 days of driving, we were beyond happy to see this site.
Did you know that the sky is bluer in Utah than in Virginia? It's also drier. I can feel my skin shrivel up.

We only had a couple of nights to rest at my moms before we headed out again to Heber Valley for the McKee family reunion.  They have cabins, pavilions, bathrooms and showers. Its really nice!
Sylas opted out of fruit loop necklace making. When I asked him what he was doing, he said "Digging for diamonds so we can be rich."
When Gunnar joined him, he abandoned looking for diamonds and started to look for gold. I am rich regardless of the lack of diamonds and gold.
The grand reunion. Ander and Jacksons reunion was VERY enthusiastic.
The first night we were there, we got to watch the kids do the swing. They pull you up super high and you, well, swing.

Look at that face! He loved it.
Tamsyn screamed the whole way.
Even Sylas did it. He was small, so they only lifted him up 3/4 of the way.

After Gunnar saw Sylas only go 3/4 of the way, he got concerned and said, "Mom, I want to go the WHOLE way up." And so he did.
And he announced to me afterwards that he is no longer afraid of heights. Rock on, kid!

They also had lots of low rope courses.

We got to got on the lake.

The spider web game. Your group has to get from one side to the other without touching the "web" and you only only allowed to use each hole once.

They even hoisted me up and put me through a hole.

And the Zip line. The grand finale to the whole reunion. My kids are brave, did you know?

Look at his face. It is times like this that I realize that 2600 miles/3 days/ 32 hours on my butt is very much worth it.

Ander had my camera and I found a few gems like this.

Gunnar smiled the whole way up.

He smiled the whole way down too.

Next? "This is the place" Monument, Cherry Hill, and Percy Jackson. YAY!
