January Quilts

So I just turned in January's quilts to the Homeless Center! There are only 6 instead of 8 because Gunnar was throwing up on one of the quilt days and we had to cancel. The Village has also asked the quilting group if they would be willing to make quilts for the guest apartments. There are three beds per room. I was thinking of doing themes. One apartment will be patriotic, one will be Notre Dame colors, and any other ideas of themes for quilts?

The Ball!

Here is our ride to and home from the dance. There were 2 stretch hummers shuttling all night long between the dance and the Village. SWEET! My dress was borrowed from a fellow Villager, who brought the dress just for such an occasion. However, she is 8 months pregnant, so she lent me the dress! It was an off the shoulder dress, so I spent 3 dollars at JoAnns and bought a small strip of velvet and modestified it!
The inside of the hummer. It was amazing! They had cokes and water bottles and wines glasses and tv's and phones, and leather seats, and the roof and walls were covered in bright, colorful pinpoints of lights.

The dance! The first hour was dance instruction, and Lohn and I learned how to twist and twirl! (and despite his fears, Lohn didn't lose any man points in the process.)

Yes!

Sorry you can't see him better. I was trying to record him while holding him at the same time. This is his new favorite word. (better than no right?)

Night Night Sylas!

Here Sylas is wrapped up in his burrito wrap, geting ready for a nap. He is blowing you all kisses good night!

Macaroni and Cheese

I made Mac and Cheese for Lunch on Thursday. I handed the box to Gunnar and told him he could have it. The silly boy has made a treasure out of it and now he doesn't go anywhere without it. Weird, huh? Tamsyn used to do that. She would make treasures out of the weirdest things.

Random

Yesterday was a day of firsts for Sylas! 1. He folded his arms for the prayer 2. He said Peek a boo while covering his eyes (it sounded more like EE aa OOOO) 3. Made the sign for 'more' at dinnertime. Instead of fingertips together he did one finger to his palm over and over. I think it is interesting that all of my children have done that exact variation of the sign for "more." Sylas will be 1 year old in a few weeks. This picture was taken a few weeks ago. He loves his nose holes.

Snowman (or woman) competition

Our Village had a snowman competition yesterday. Only 5 people competed. We did not win, but if you ask me, ours was the best.

Ander lost his tooth!

Ander lost his first tooth last night and the tooth fairy came. The going rate these days is one dollar, I guess. I am just glad the fairy remembered to come. When Tamsyn was younger he didn't come for three days. We told her that he doesn't work on the weekends...

Gunnars favorite Christmas song

So watch this over and over and over and think of me and how I get to listen to this ALL DAY LONG. Am I a lucky girl or what? My favorite part is "Santas Rainbows ring!" (It should be sleigh-bells)

The humidity is definitely gone!

Family Pics!

Just got these taken today! I was pleased with how they turned out.
