Last post (for a little while)

I am doing laundry like crazy today, and then tomorrow I load everything into boxes, bags and suitcases and off we go! We are headed to Utah to have some awesome family time, and then we leave for Virginia about 4 am Wednesday morning. Lohn just got back from Richmond last night. My wonderful husband looked at probably 10 or 11 places in a day and a half, and managed to find the right home for us to rent. It's a three bedroom house at the end of a cul de sac in a 9 star school district (and thankfully in our budget). I think I am in a bit of denial. Virginia? Really? I guess I will believe it when I see it. Right now I am concentrating on not thinking about when I am going to see my family next (Ander gets baptized in April, visitors anyone???) All I can say, is I feel blessed that we were able to sell our home to fund our two years at Notre Dame, and then after it was over, spend 3 months with family before we are shipped out to the other side of the country. I am thankful to my Heavenly Father for how splendidly everything worked out. Now I just hope we survive this move. Six people in an enclosed space for 12 hours a day is not going to be pleasant. Holy Shmoly

Um, we're moving in TEN DAYS! Not much of a warning, is it? We found out Friday that Lohn got the job, Lohn is flying back to Richmond tomorrow for three days to secure us housing, the kids will finish this week of school, and then we say goodbye to Victor, ID and head to Utah to have 2 parties with two awesome families, and then we pull outta here on the 4th or 5th. So far it is going well in the housing dept. Lohn's mom's cousin lives there, so we have had lots of helpful input on good areas to live. A few times, I thought my brain was going to implode with all the information (schools, neighborhoods, contracts and leases etc.) but with a little bit of help from greatschools.org and craigslist, Lohn already has 6 appointments to see homes in the Richmond area, only 15-25 minutes from his work, that are in top school districts. Lohn and I think so much the same, that I am not worried about me not being there. He will find the right place for us. Well, I'm off. I've been in front of the computer ALL DAY!

Richmond VA!!!

Well, folks, Lohn DID IT!!!! In just a few short weeks (Oct.11) Lohn will be starting his new job in Richmond VA. It's beautiful pay, with beautiful benefits. My cup runneth over. And I can't stop crying.

One month in a nutshell

The Kidlets started school. I really debated on whether or not to put Gunnar in Kindergarten, but they have the option of half day here, so I put him in. He loves it and is learning lot. Ander got glasses, and he loves them. He has been surprisingly responsible with them and he takes care of them (Knock on wood).

We took the kids to the shoot out in Jackson Wy. We never took them in the 7 years we lived in this area. Weird. But the kids loved it (duh, they are obsessed with guns right now). Tamsyn was the only kid willing to go out and dance for one of the parts. Thats my girl!

We went to the MS walk to support Aunt Whitney. The kids remembered the storm troopers from 2 or 3 years ago, and were excited to see them there again.

We've been pretty healthy. Gunnar is the only one who's been sick so far. Here he is with a bread crust, throw-up bowl, and a big smile. That is so totally him.

This is what happens when Sylas get ahold of the camera with out mommy knowing.

And what you see here is the rock the doctor removed from Sylas's nose yesterday. It's huge and it was WAY up there. I thought for sure they would have to sedate him, and do surgery to get this thing out. I think I need one of those Doctor tools to remove objects from the nose. Ander so far is my only child to keep things out of his nose (except his finger, thats always up there) Sylas got an ice cream when it was over.

And Lohns interview went really well, or at least he thought it did. We will know by Friday if I will be cutting up my Capital One credit card, or telling all my friends what a great credit card it is and to get one. Hehehe.

Seriously, this went on for a good 30 minutes.

Lohns interview is in 8 days. Every since our move, I would wake up every single night and stay awake for 2 hours. For no reason. And now, ever since his invitation for a third interview, I sleep through the entire night. Stress-related sleep insomnia? I feel so much better now that he has another interview, but I think I was a little naive in thinking that a third interview is pretty much a guarantee that he will get the job. Some friends of ours that graduated at the same time as Lohn had a FOURTH interview with Chick fil a, and he didn't get the job. This has completely messed with my head. I am trying my hardest to remember how everything fell into place(sale of our house) so we could afford our 2 years at Notre Dame. I am trying to remind myself often that the Lord lead us to Notre Dame. I am trying to remember how I have received several spiritual assurances that everything will work out. Can I just say I am excited for a pay check? With a little bit of frugality and Dave Ramsey, I'm going to get us outta debt, and I can't WAIT!!!
