Tamsyns Dance

So here are the kid's last dance performance's. The teacher, Miss Kristi, is moving in a few weeks. She only charged $10 a month per kid, and they learned a lot. We are going to miss her!

The Blue and Gold Game!

The only game the kids and I will attend this year. We lasted until almost half time. We sat through rain, and I kept stuffing candy into Sylas's mouth to keep him happy. Notice Gunnar is asleep face down on Lohns lap.

Notre Dame Family Life TAILGATE!

They had a professional face painter at the tailgate. Seriously, isn't my little girl so pretty???
A undergrad saw Ander and yelled at us, "Now there is a real Domer!" Somewhat insulted, I said, "Um, WHAT?" (My mama bear was coming out) But it turns out that its a compliment. It means a ND fan. Notice his ND hat, ND colors and ND beads. GO IRISH!

Of course Gunnar insisted on ALL GREEN!

The PINATA!

and WHACK!

That's my girl!

Test of Faith?

So Lohn as of yet still doesn't have an internship. This is one of my biggest stresses and concerns right now. It seems like so many students have great internships, we don't, and school is done for the year in 2 weeks. That being said, I just wanted to post that I believe everything is going to work out for us. I know we were meant to be here at Notre Dame. I believe that God led us here and because of that, I know everything will work out. I also know that doesn't mean we are going to land the best paying job, or that it will all be easy for us, but that I know we will end up where ever the Lord wants us to go, and that is all that really matters. I just wanted to express my gratitude towards Him for watching out for us and taking interest in our daily lives and caring about us. I love Him, and am going to do my best to serve Him and do what's right. Thanks for reading, just something I feel like I needed to share.

Tamsyns school performance

Just a small clip and she is hard to see. But she sang her little heart out. I LOVE HER!

Cultivating my Domestic-ness!

So I have been feeling the urge to create lately, and here are the results. Sorry for the cheesy pictures of myself in the mirror, but Gunnar tried to take the pictures for me and it didn't work. The flower head band and the hand warmers are for Amy. The shawl is for Tamsyn. I made up my own pattern for the head band and the hand warmers are KNITTED (free pattern for handwarmers and three strand headband can be found at creativeyarn.com) ! I am so happy I know how to knit now!

I WON!

We had a health fair at the community center and I was able to enter my name in for a drawing. The grand prize was a wii fit, and there were gift certificates for massages and to a fitness store, and there were pilates and yoga beginners kits and balance balls, and also gift certificates for personal training sessions. I got the GOLD personal training session. It was second only to the wii fit and is valued at $250. So now I get a physical assessment and 9 free personal training sessions with my very own personal trainer! I am so excited to get tough!

At Naomi's request

So while chatting with the mom's here on the playground I often talk about how fat Tamsyn was. Naomi, my friend, expressed the desire to see pictures, so here they are! I love love LOVE her fat rolls! (too bad they are all gone now, sniff...)

Family bike ride to campus

We love to take the bread ends that no one eats and share them with the ducks and geese. Gunnar made friends with a geese as large as himself. The other little girl in the pictures is Catherine, Tamsyns best friend.

Anders Birthday Party at ChuckECheeses!

I didn't want to do a crazy birthday party with a ton of friends, and Ander wanted to go to Chuckys, so I told him he could invite 2 friends to go with the family. They laughed and giggled the whole to the restaurant and back. I had to take a picture while I was driving because it was so cute. (No worries, I was super careful) It was a blast and I spent almost the same amount of money as I did for Tamsyn's crazy birthday party. Also, I just caught up on blogging, so please notice there are several new posts below.

Anders birthday party at home

He wanted a chocolate cake with strawberry frosting. Interesting! Also, strawberry frosting is PINK! But with all the sprinkles Grandma McKee bought him, the kids successfully made it red. (My kids always decorate their own cakes...)

Sand box flooding

So some village kids hooked up a couple of hoses and flooded the sandbox. What a mess, but who can argue with all the sensory learning that is taking place here? Also, probably the last bath my boys will be taking together. Sylas is too inquisitive...

Easter with the Village

The Village is awesome, I love it here! They put on a egg hunt for the kids and it was a blast! Notice that Tamsyn has a baby wrap with a fake baby in it. All the new moms wear those here.

It Takes a Village...

"It takes a Village" is the theme for the Village photo contest I entered into. Here are my three entries. Which is your favorite?
