Spring Break

For Spring break, since we weren't going anywhere exotic (Ahem, like Costa Rica, ahem) we tried to do something fun every day with the kids. One day we went bowling...

Sylas was determined to carry the heavy bowling ball and "Do it myself"

He would align it just so...

And, PUSH

And then hopped up and down while he watched the ball.

Gunnar decided he was too big for the bowling ramp.

He gave the ball a good roll...
 And then watched
 And watched...
 And watched...
And watched while his ball inched toward the pins.

Ander was determined to win. He was often checking the score board. He was actually ahead for most of the time.
I thought he actually had nice bowling form.

Tamsyn, on the other hand, looked like she was going to fall over every time she bowled.
It seemed to work for her though. She did pretty good.
However, no one could beat Dad, who got 4 strikes and 2 spares. And he has only bowled 5 times, maybe 6, since I met him.

We went to go see Croods. It's just alright. (But don't let the kids know I said that!)

Lohn bought Richmond's most famous donuts. Yummm.

This is what Sylas thought of the chocolate cream. The middle was cleaned out.

Another day, we went for a hike in Pocahontas State Park.

SKINK!

And while we were hiking, we decided spur of the moment, to go visit some of our favorite people.
I am so grateful they are close by!
