Superheros, a sad loss, unicorns and bathroom adventures.

Gunnar and Sylas are such good buddies (when they aren't trying to kill each other...) I had to take a picture of their creative dress up selection.

On a sad note, one of Tamsyn's snakes, Snow, died.  Lohn said it was small and weak and didn't eat well. Tamsyn was really sad. And a bit ticked off that she was out the $45 that she folded mounds and mounds of laundry to earn.  I never got a picture of Snow, but here is Tamsyn and Ander with Lilly.

I promised some Anderics. Ander came running into the room and said, "I'm a unicorn!" These are the dinosaur tails that Aunt Lisa made them for Christmas. They are often used as a hitting tool as well.

Sylas wanted crackers and milk just before church. Since he was already in his church clothes, this was our compromise.
Today I took Sylas with me to run some errands. We went to Costco first, and I bought him and myself our own soda.  We went to the grocery store next, and he had to pee, so I took him to the bathroom in the store. A few short minutes and a few groceries later, he announced to the whole store that "Mom, I have to POOoooo!" So I took him right back to the bathroom. He locked himself in the stall, took off every bit of clothing and did his business in the nude. He wanted me to wipe him, but I was locked out and he said he could wipe himself. I cringed and said ok. A few seconds later he announced "I dropped the roll of toilet paper in the toooooooilet!!!" I peeked through the crack and sure enough, the whole roll was in the toilet with his goods. I had to threaten him to let me in, and he finally unlocked the door, and I had to fish out the roll of toilet paper and throw it away and wipe him. I had to redress him, shirt, socks and shoes and all, and we finally got to finish our grocery shopping. Next we went to Joanns, where he announced again that he had to pee. I rolled my eyes and took him again. Next we went to Target and wonder of wonders, he said "Mom I have to PEE." I looked at him, narrowed my eyes to slits and said firmly, "NO." We left and he fell asleep on the way home, and peed his pants. Note to self. Don't give your kid an adult sized soda right before running a thousand errands.

So sad for Tamsyn and her snake. You are such a brave mom Sharon!!! And those dragon tails are adorable! I can totally see them being turned into weapons at our house, although i would hope for unicorns! And so funny about your little guy and his bathroom trips in every store. Those are the days that are good to document so you can remember what you've been through! (and so you can look back and laugh.) :)
