Now that everyone finally has their Christmas gifts (The post office is not my friend, folks) I can blog my latest creations. Tamsyn ordered asked me to make these bracelets (my own pattern!) for all her friends at school. I think she is starting a new trend...
I made these for my mom, grandma, and Lohn's mom. I attached the ribbon later.
I found this idea on Pinterest. It's a good thing I did it this year, because next year, Tamsyn and Ander's hand will be as big as my own.
I made these for cousin Andreanna. The hat is a Ravelry pattern, and the gloves are a Creativeyarn.blogspot.com pattern. The flower is my pattern, and the adorable button in the center is handmade by Aunt Amy. I also make these for Tamsyn's birthday parties for presents.
We have had two snow days this year. Poor Virginia. I make fun of them for closing schools when it snows just a skiff of snow, and growl at them when they don't cancel school and do a 2 hour delay instead. They just can't win.
A friend of mine posted on FB that she was convinced that God made snow for children. I agree. Although I know a few grown men that like it too. Lohn had a snowball fight with the kids that lasted for about an hour.
This is all it takes to cancel school...
In a series of unfortunate events, Lohn got a flat tire. He hurt his back a wee bit fixing it, and the next day he played basketball, and hurt his back a wee bit more.
Then the next day he SNEEZED and WHAM! His back went out completely. Below is him trying vainly to walk after it happened. I took a picture of him crawling, ("Don't take a picture of me!") but then had some pity and didn't post it here ("You better not put this on Facebook!"). He also told me I am not allowed to tell anyone that it was a sneeze that did the trick, but come on, it's just too good not to share.
Poor guy is doing better everyday, but still super sore.
I took Ander to the ENT to get his nose cauterized. He was getting bloody noses everyday and he even got one in the middle of the night that was so bad that he was bleeding out of his EYE! I was so close to taking him to the ER, but then it finally stopped. Poor kid. He was actually happy about getting his nose cauterized.
Turns out it was a breeze. 20 seconds, and very little pain. Why didn't we do this sooner???

Poor Lohn! Hope his back feels better, that is pretty funny about the power sneeze.
Totally didn't know they could do that to help bloody noses.
Love ALL your creations, Tamsyn is an great model.
What fun times you have been having. Love your creations as well and we feel for Lohn, that is very painful.
Happy Birthday to Sylas, btw, just a little late. :)
One question, how much would you charge if I had you make me some of those flowers? I keep thinking I am going to learn how, but let's be honest, with a newborn and 3 year old running around let alone the other 2 there is no way it will be happening anytime soon. I would love to order some from you if you have the time. lmk
We miss you guys!
