I am thankful for... (Part 9 in the Thanksgiving series)

MILD WINTERS!

I took this photo just minutes before I posted this. I planted these flowers mid April. It is now mid November and the flowers are still looking great. I think it is interesting to note that I never water these flowers. Ever.

Being a person who can really get in the slumps in the winter time, I find Richmond winters heavenly.

Did you know that there was a day last December where it got up to 70 degrees and I had the AC running in my van? (Please try not to hate me)

After living in Wisconsin, Utah, Idaho and Indiana (all of which have brutal winters) I am in basking in the 60 degree weather today. The sun is shining and there isn't a cloud in the sky.  The birds are chirping and the squirrels are collecting nuts in my yard.  My neighbor is mowing his yard, another raking leaves. Soon I will open the windows to let in fresh air.  I love my Richmond weather!
