I am thankful for... (Part 5 in the Thanksgiving Series)

ANDER!!!!

I love my sweet, obedient, cuddly hardworking little monster!  I just met with his teacher today for Parent Teachers conference, and she only had wonderful things to say about him. This is a huge deal, because last year's teacher was all about the negative. Granted, last year was a hard one for him. He moved from Indiana to Idaho and then to Virginia all in just 6 months and was exposed to 3 different schools during that time. Hard on such a little guy. But he is doing beautifully this year, mostly A's and 2 B's. She only had good things to say about him. It made my heart happy :) I love my smarty!
Some of the things I love most about Ander is that he is never ever complains. If I was to grumpily order him to clean his room, then sweep off the back porch and then clean the bathrooms, he would. No complaints. He's awesome that way. He had 8 cavities fixed once, and never even whimpered when they gave him shots. I love how inventive he is, he makes some of the coolest creations. Today he made a creation out of a monster truck and lincoln logs and tape that could scale walls.  I love that contraptions of all kinds get his attention and he must play with it until he understands it (this actually used to be a problem in Hospitals, copy centers, anywhere with buttons really.)  He puts up with a lot from Sylas who's whole livelihood is to torment anyone near him and Ander is great at playing with his siblings. He is quiet and very much like his daddy in many respects. I love that he tries very hard to please. I love that he wants to learn the guitar, and makes the effort to learn without any nagging on my part.  I love that he is good at sports. I love that he is honest. I love that he is smart. I love that he is kind. I am so glad that he came to our family 8 1/2 years ago. I couldn't imagine our life without him!
