Outer Banks- Day 1

So we are on vacation!!!  And loving it. One whole week of beach, cousins and more sand than we care for. We almost didn't make it here. On Saturday our van wouldn't start. After much googling, we found out what the problem was, and after a dozen phone calls, we learned the closest part we needed is 2 hours away. But Lohn, my most wonderous husband, drove to get the part, and fixed the van by 9:30 pm Saturday night. Just in time for us to leave the next morning. Most grateful for blessings and answers to prayers!

We are staying in a house that sleeps 20 people, and it is right next to the beach. And despite much sunscreen, most of us are a little burned. Silly Lohn trusted Gunnar to spray his back. You should see the interesting pattern of burn vs not on his back.
