Your Admin is having a narcissistic/nostalgic day, and in assuming that our fans have the same taste in literature, is giving away 6 of her all time favorite books. (6 lucky fans will have the opportunity to win 1 of my favorites!) The titles will be documented in comments and given away at random—want one? Shot a sentence to kblitch@nd.edu and tell us why you deserve one.
I saw this and thought, "How fun!" and logged off Facebook. I thought about it for a while and thought, "Why not?" So I e-mailed the site Administrator the following.
I am a stay-at-home mother of four children. We live in a teeny apartment on ND campus (The Village) with NO dishwasher (ahem, FOUR kids). My husband is a MBA student, and gone most of the time. I deserve a book, because with every dish I wash, I feel my brain rotting and I could desperately use some mental stimulation... Sharon McKee
And guess what!!! I WON! And I won the grand prize, which is this

The Administrator's favorite book of all time. I've never read Stephen King, but I am excited to give it a try. The Administrator must have felt REALLY bad for me, and even offered me the use of her private library to borrow the rest of the books in the series. HA! I love Notre Dame...

Dad said to tell you you are a smoocher. When Anthony used to live with us, he loved Stephen King and I didn't like him reading them.
@Mom- You also think Harry Potter is satanic. I'm willing to give a go at it.
@Dad- Of course I'm a smooch, thats why you love me so much!
Sharon, you just reminded me! I read the first four books in this series, but never DID end up following him to the Dark Tower!
I'm not a fantasy person at all... but I have to admit I really got sucked into these a bit.
Book 2 - The Drawing of the Three, was cool. If you're able to get through them till the end, let us know what you think!
