Facebook is swarming with pictures of their kids on their first day of school. I barely remembered to take a picture of the boys and completely forgot to take a picture of Tamsyn until she got home.
Gunnar is quite proud of his Chima backpack.
Gunnar is in 2nd, Ander is in 4th and Sylas is in Preschool
Sylas and I dropped the kids off at the bus stop and we walked home hand in hand. I said to him, "Well, it's just you and me!" He looks at me and says, "I don't have to share now!" Ha! And he didn't either. He played with legos to his hearts content, never having to worry about someone stealing or breaking his creation.
Tamsyn is my big 6th grader!
She was super bubbly and talkative. I could tell she had a great day.
Poor Gunnar didn't get off the bus with Ander. Gunnar was talking with friends and Ander forgot about Gunnar. So I spent the next hour trying to get ahold of the bus garage to track him down. That was really hard, it kept ringing busy, and when I did get ahold of the garage, they couldn't get ahold of the bus driver. I had a nightmarish vision of him asleep on one of the benches (he falls asleep a lot) and the bus driver parking the bus and leaving with him locked in it (my mind tends to think up the worst case scenario. It's a brain defect my family must deal with) But luckily, the bus driver found him and took him back to the school where I picked him up. He didn't seemed bothered by it at all, but I was on the verge of tears (again, defect).
The kids seemed to all like their new busy schedules. My day was quite a bit more slow, and quiet. I have to say I missed my minions.
