Virginia has a tax free day on all school supplies and clothing. So I took advantage of it and bought all the kids' school supplies for school. Lohn made fun of me (It's like a 5% sale. That's. All.) but it needed to be done, so why not get it over with. The items in this picture cost me 190 buckaroos. Crazy how quickly it all adds up. School doesn't start for 3 more weeks, but I am already mourning the loss of my summer with the kids. I dreaded having them home all day as school was ending, and now I don't want to send them away. We have had a lot of fun, and I love spending time with them (sometimes).
In budgeting news, I found a cool site. Found here. I am going to give it a try. I like her method. She also gives good ideas on how to save money on groceries without couponing. (I hate couponing. Turns out I am not very good at it.)
I am doing a co-op preschool with 5 other moms starting Mid-September. It should be a lot of fun, plus it means there will be 5 hours a week that I will be 100% kidless!!! What, oh what, shall I do with myself???
My sister in law, Amy, is heading up a fundraiser for a 25 year old in her ward that has breast cancer. It's a very aggressive form, and it doesn't look good. She's only 25! Anyway, for her fundraiser, Amy is doing photos shoots (all non profit) and selling lots of goods. She has me making these to sell. All in a shade of Breast Cancer Awareness Pink. If you are interested in a pair for 5 dollars, send me a note. Every last bit of that money goes to this girl.

Its surprisingly difficult to decide how to spend your childless time! I hired a girl to come watch my kids about 4 hours a week so I could "get things done" but when she comes I have a hard time knowing what to do.
Anyway, I'd like a pair of those gloves to give to Jade! Tell me who to make a check out to and where to send it.
Lovely! The money should be sent to Amy. I will send little miss Jade a pair shortly. thank you!!!
