Sy•las•i•fied: Adj. Slimed/stained/made gooey by a little boy named Sylas
Our makeshift baby carrier in Yellowstone. Since it was his blanket, he loved being in it.
Sylas will take any opportunity to 'drive' the car. And push all the buttons. Do you see my Village stickers on the van window. I can't bring myself to take them off. I miss that place. (sniff)Seriously, this went on for a good 30 minutes.
Lohns interview is in 8 days. Every since our move, I would wake up every single night and stay awake for 2 hours. For no reason. And now, ever since his invitation for a third interview, I sleep through the entire night. Stress-related sleep insomnia? I feel so much better now that he has another interview, but I think I was a little naive in thinking that a third interview is pretty much a guarantee that he will get the job. Some friends of ours that graduated at the same time as Lohn had a FOURTH interview with Chick fil a, and he didn't get the job. This has completely messed with my head. I am trying my hardest to remember how everything fell into place(sale of our house) so we could afford our 2 years at Notre Dame. I am trying to remind myself often that the Lord lead us to Notre Dame. I am trying to remember how I have received several spiritual assurances that everything will work out. Can I just say I am excited for a pay check? With a little bit of frugality and Dave Ramsey, I'm going to get us outta debt, and I can't WAIT!!!

Sharon! So fun to catch up on you guys!!! To tell you the truth Dave and I thought of you as we toured around South Bend and walked around Notre Dame but I had no idea how to get ahold of you or if you guys were still there. Too bad! That would have been so nice to see you! Your family sure is growing up and your kids getting so big. A huge congratulations to Lohn for his MBA and to you for enduring! It's definitely a hard road going back to school with kids, but with lots of experiences we wouldn't have and learn from otherwise right? It gives me courage to know that you made it. Hopefully we can too! Best of luck in the job search. Can't wait to see what comes next for you!
Sharon, I just read this post but know that you guys will be in our prayers this week. Good luck at the interview!
