My Yard Sale High

My boys' clothes have been in a pitiful state. But if you have had a recent conversation with me, then you know that I am on a Dave Ramsey kick, which means I've stopped spending money on everything. Every single pair of my boys' jeans had holes in them. I patched them up and they lasted maybe a month more, holes are back plus some, and they all desperately need to be thrown in the garbage. I hated sending them to school like that. But this morning I got the urge to go yard saleing and I said a quick prayer as I left that I would find pants for the boys. The very first yard sale I went to, were selling jeans, GUNNAR AND ANDER SIZES!!! 3 of them are brand new with tags, and the rest are in pristine condition. 12 pairs, 22 bucks. HuYAH!

My dearest Peeps, I want you to know that God does hear and answer our prayers, and that he cares about little things like boy jeans. And for that I am grateful.

That's so great. I remember a similar experience I had when my mom took me shopping for my mission. We didn't have a lot of money, but I seemed to always like the most expensive things. We said a prayer before we left and I believe everything we bought was on sale that day. I learned a great lesson on answers to prayers that day thanks to a righteous and faithful mother. Way to go! I think the Lord absolutely cares about that sort of stuff.
