The oldest living plants on the earth are the Bristlecone pine trees. Some are up to 4500 years old. And they grow out of limestone, where nothing else grows.Just 3 more days! I have mixed feelings about this place. It's been miserably hot, and I've become good friends with the fan and the spray bottle. I have eaten more popsicles in my stay here, than in my whole life combined. 15 dollars for the laundromat, and hauling 5 loads of clothes back and forth every week has been a killer. A family of six in a 2 bedroom apartment with few toys and no TV has been a challenge. And yet I have to say this has probably been the best summer yet. A great 5 weeks of swim lessons and we have explored every nook and cranny (and mountain) of the southern part of the state. I've enjoyed the dishwasher, having my husband home at 4:30, meeting some amazing people in the ward, and getting together with family and friends that I haven't seen in a while. Thank-you Lord for leading us here, and giving us such an extraordinary experience. I will cherish our time here always, including the hot sweaty nights when I sobbed/laughed myself to sleep because I was so hot.

Oh Sharon, I envy you once again. Not only did you get to spend the summer in Utah and be with family and friends, but you get one more year back at Notre Dame. I sure miss that place more than I ever thought I would. Don't get me wrong, I like it here especially with my dishwasher and quadruple the space, but ND is so special. Good luck with the move. I will live vicariously through you.
Hi Sharon -
I just found you, hope you don't mind that I am blog stalking you. I am so glad that you came this summer too - I sure miss you, those halls are lonely without you! It is great to see what you and your family are up to - good luck with everything you do.
Heidi
